| dc.description.abstract | 해묵은 지방행정체계 개편 논쟁이 재연되고 있다. 이번에는 여야 정치권이 나서서 "지방행정체계 개편 기본법"을 오는 4월 임시국회에서 처리하여 2010년까지 시·도를 폐지하고 기초자치단체를 60-70개로 통합한다는 구체적 내용까지 제시하고 있다. 그동안 다른 정권하에서도 여러 차례 지방행정체계 개편의 필요성이나 대안에 대한 논의가 제기되기는 했으나 그때 마다 사회적으로 공론화되지 못하고 슬그머니 사라졌기 때문에 이번에도 한때 지나가는 "찻잔 속의 태풍"에 그칠 가능성이 크다. -이후 생략 | - |
